Hi, I’m Sharonda

I’m a mom, a hospitality leader, a speaker, a believer, and someone who has failed… a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

And honestly? That’s exactly what led me here.

I wasn’t always the loudest voice in the room…

(if you’ve met me recently, that may be hard to believe)

I’ve walked into spaces where I didn’t know anyone, felt underqualified, and wondered if I really belonged there.

But I kept showing up anyway.

Because deep down, I’ve always believed something:

there’s more in us than we think, and growth lives on the other side of discomfort.

My career started in hospitality, where I years learning how to lead people, build teams, solve problems, and create experiences that make others feel seen. I fell in love with one thing most: helping people recognize their potential before they fully see it themselves.

But my path wasn’t neat, I’ve doubted myself, started over, outgrown rooms, faced closed doors and learned lessons the hard way…

More than once.

Somewhere in all of that, I realized that

leadership isn’t about having it all together

confidence isn’t required to begin

and purpose often shows up disguised as struggle

That realization became Higher Ground.

Higher Ground exists for the students and emerging leaders who are capable of more than they realize — the quiet ones, the unsure ones, the ones stepping into new spaces, big transitions, and bigger dreams.

Because I know what it feels like to stand at the bottom of something meaningful and think:

Can I really do this?

You can. You absolutely can.

Today, I speak, teach, and mentor around leadership, growth, and self-belief helping people see that leadership isn’t a title, it’s a decision. A decision to keep climbing, even when you’re uncertain, uncomfortable, or still becoming.

So if you’re figuring things out, growing through things, or reaching for more…you’re in the right place.

Because the truth is:

You don’t have to be finished to be powerful.

You just have to be willing to climb.

And you’re built for Higher.

You’re not behind, you’re becoming.
